So here's the situation.
I got a new computer a few months ago. I tried to find the insert key but there appears to be none. I went into the utilities menu to set the caps lock key to act as my insert key. After doing this, I went to see if it would do anything, and it did nothing. I even restarted it to see if that was the issue, but that didn't work. Am I forgetting to do something? As far as I can tell, I'm doing everything right, but I could be wrong. Any help would be nice
did you go under options,and basics in the jaws menu and set the keyboard layout to laptop? It's usually one of the last combo boxes in the dialogue here.
I am assuming this is a laptop? If so, and, if you are in the laptop layout, then the caps-lock key is assigned to be the JAWS key.
The caps lock key acts as the insert key in laptop mode. If you need to type in a capital letter, you just press capslock twice quickly. Thought I would share that tip.
